Well, I was trying to land a new job...being a mommy to a toddler...a wife to a husband that works out of town...and just down-right busy! All of my creative energies were being sucked right out of me! Now I have new job that doesn't have much to do with being creative, so I get to save all of that energy doing stuff that I want to do--not that I have to do. I am very, very excited about that.
I look forward to future posts on home-renovations and redecorating, arts & crafts projects, trial & error recipes and lots of other fun stuff, too!
Since starting my new job, I have been working on transforming an empty office into my office. I'm stuck with the furniture arrangement since the space layout is awkward and the furniture weighs a ton, but so far, I feel like I've made some progress.
The space above the filing cabinet is still a bit bare so I'm thinking of doing an original work to hang there. I haven't really done any pieces since art school, minus a night sky painting I did while pregnant with Alston, so it should be interesting to see what I end up with.
This is my "Frame of Mind". Everyone has one outside their office. I think its super fun and I've decided to limit myself to only using images I've found in magazines. I think this makes it challenging. This week, it is a advertisement for Hershey's Special Dark Chocolate.
